Brian Devon

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Brian Devon began his journey in image makiung when he was 8 years old with an interest in photography. He has a need to express something more then the perfect likeness that the camera captures, he has an inherent desire for the hand of the artist to be felt in the work. He has worked in several studios in Dublin, Ireland, and London, England, as well as in San Francisco, having the priceless opportunity to watch great professionals at work. Being inspired by many film artists led him to use techniques such as image lifts, adding pigments, layers of texture, and the painted backgrounds that give his work the look and feel it has today. "I suppose the pursuit of art is the search for your own voice. I have been lucky enough to have found a path to mine, and more importantly been able to share it with those who enjoy what I do."            - Brian Devon
